Quidditch World Cup

The Quidditch is a sport inspired from the famous fantasy series Harry Potter.

The squads are mixed, men and women, the players have to run with a stick in the middle of their legs to simulate the broom where the little magicians of the school of Hogwarts flew in the book like in the movie dedicated to the saga. Born as a game for Harry Potter’s fan it becomes a sport for all, still not so popular it manage to unite lots of people.

The game consist in utilize three balls: the first is the quaffle, played just by the chasers and the keepers. The chasers tries to score goals bringing and throwing the quaffle into one of the three rings of the opponent squad. The keepers has the duty to try to defend the three rings and do not let the quaffle come into them. The beaters with other balls called bludgers will try to eliminate the rivals striking them with the bludgers.

The rings are one different to the others in height, but each of them has the same score. The quidditch squad is compose by one keeper, two beaters and three chasers. The keeper has a green strip on the forehead, the chasers a white one and the beaters a black one.

This is a work on the first Italian world cup of quidditch in Florence.
